first look: Haibike 2018 Bosch & Yamaha Electric Bikes

For 2018 Haibike onwards takes the xDuro as a synonym for Bosch and sDuro for Yamaha engines, and arranges the model pallet more strongly according for purpose. The sDuro stands for comfort models with the classic geometry and xDuro for sporty models with modern mtb geometry. In the xDuro lineup, the model names AllMtn, Nduro and Dwnhill remain, with the sDuro's the AllMtn is renamed FullSeven LT, models with more spring travel are only available as XDUROs.

Bosch powertube integration

Haibike introduce a large number of models with the integrated PowerTube Battery from Bosch for 2018. The bikes are not only visually more clean, they also have new more modern geometries. The engine interface and rear parts still come from the current Haibike kit, but the lower tube, top tube and control have been redesigned. Haibike install the Bosch PowerTube battery upright secured with a lock. and above sits a plastic cover as a panel.

Yamaha pw-se

Haibike also introduce a new version of the Yamaha PW system. SE it stands for Sport Edition and is positioned between the PW and the PW-X. The engine control is now better to handle higher cadences, and has slightly more torque. The Yamaha PW-SE system is used on the cheaper sDuro models and is aimed for comfort oriented riders.
