The evolution continues with a completely redesigned chassis for 2017. They took everything they know about building e-MTBs and started from scratch, integrating the Bosch motor and battery unit into the bottom bracket and down tube for better looks, improved functionality and handling that will surpass your expectations. Their Agile Ride Geometry has always ensured a great combination of stability and liveliness, but a lower centre of gravity and shorter chainstays for 2017 make the results even better. You can even leave the battery in place in the frame for charging, while internal cable routing protects the gear shift cable against damage and enables easy and comfortable gear shifting.
Bosch's powerful CX drive unit contines to set the standard for e-bike power, delivering up to 75Nm of torque over extended periods. Making the most of all that power is Shimano's matchless XT transmission, delivering the combined efforts of your legs and the motor to the rear wheel
Throw in a CUBE wheelset built around XT hubs and CUBE EX30 rims with 2.6 inch tyres and Fox's superb 34 Rhythm fork, and it's hard to imagine what else you'd need for epic trail adventures.
Via a wide-ranging 11-speed 11-46 tooth cassette. And a 500Wh battery pack means you'll have plenty of juice to keep going, no matter how ambitious your ride plans.
Agile Ride Geometry
They ran innumerable tests to develop the Agile Ride Geometry in their series of big wheel bikes. They also added the 27.5in wheel size to the very well received portfolio. Three important details lead to the very agile character. Increased fork offsets let us achieve the same trail as their 26in bikes without having to steepen the head angle, thus maintaining generous toe clearance to the front wheel. Secondly they shortened the chain stays without compromising the seat angle. They invented a patented construction to mount the front derailleur to give them more tyre clearance while keeping a conventional seat angle, leading to a perfect riding position for every rider size. Last but not least they kept the BB height the same as on our 26in bikes. These measures lead to a natural riding position. Every mountain biker will feel immediately at home on a CUBE 29er or 27.5.
The new STEREO , FRITZZ and HANZZ models are built using Advanced Hydroforming. Conventional hydroforming processes cannot achieve these custom shapes and technical advantages. As this manufacturing method reduces the number of welds, the weight is reduced while durability is increased.
