More suspension travel opens up more options. That's why they developed the Sting WLS Hybrid 140 SL - a versatile All-Mountain e-MTB for progressive female riders who like to push their limits. Combining all the benefits of their WLS series - agile and stable geometry, low standover and a wide range of size options - with Bosch power and trail-taming suspension, it's a bike that'll have you coming back for more.
Their engineering team has done it again - the Sting WLS Hybrid 140 SL's frame is perfectly proportioned, surprisingly light, engagingly agile and perfectly matched to the Bosch drive system. Features like the Boost rear end, complex hydroforming and Tuned Drive Position have enabled them to make a frame that's stiff where it needs to be and lively and responsive when you need it most. As you'd expect, they've employed their Efficient Trail Control kinematics with Agile Trail Geometry, and semi-integrated the battery into the frame for cleaner looks and even better handling. Even the cables are routed internally, reducing maintenance and ensuring that the clean lines aren't needlessly cluttered.
If you're going to have big travel, you need peerless control. That's why they opted for a Fox 34 Rhythm fork and matching Float DPS Performance EVOL shock - they're easy to set up, easy to adjust and offer 140mm of trail-taming travel that ensures your wheels will be glued to the trail.
Powerful Magura MT5 hydraulic disc brakes keep you in control of your speed at all times, while grippy Schwalbe Nobby Nic tyres attached to CUBE EX25 rims provide traction - and confidence - on even the roughest of trails. Finally, they added a CUBE dropper seatpost - for even more confidence and control, whatever line you take.
Naturally, a bike with this much performance needs an e-drive to match - and they found it in the Bosch CX with matching 500Wh battery pack. Shimano XT transmission components with a wide-ranging 11-46 tooth cassette combine smooth, easy, and super-reliable shifting with the widest possible gear range, so no climb will ever be too steep.
Adaptable X12 Hanger
Cube optimized their new dropout design based on the Syntace X12 through-axle system, enlarging the area of the frame where the hanger is mounted. They can now fit the longer Direct Mount hangers. Shifting precision and stiffness is therefore improved. With the new design it's also possible to swap the whole contact area of the axle with the hanger should the system be worn out.
FOX Customized Setup
Sophisticated suspension kinematics are only able to work correctly if the associated shock is properly tuned. They researched and found a specific shock setup in cooperation with Fox Racing Shox, using extensive testing for almost every CUBE full-suspension model.
Dropper seat posts are getting more and more widespread, but to integrate them optimally in the frame, they have to be factory fitted. With the Stealth Ready frames, it is possible to build in a dropper seat post with internally routed cables, which besides the clean look, helps prevent any cables getting jammed. The exit of the cable on the frame if not required will be sealed with a cover for protection.
